Summary
The feeling of Occult symbols without subscribing to any in particular. Hilma af Klint was very much infliuenced by these symbols as well as a practicing occultist. Hilma and her group called the "five" took part in 100s of seances. She practiced seances, was told by a higher power to paint and when on to continue for 12 years.....

FWSO Design Summary

Summary
The Fort Worth Symphony approached me to revamp their digital and outdoor marketing. To begin I analyzed the visual inconsistencies within their current design language. I thus implemented systems that could be pieced together fairly quickly for their digital ads, independent of my services. Their outdoor advertising had become overcomplicated and led to visual fatigue. Therefore I opted to move in a more contemporary art direction to provide a much needed minimalistic overhaul.

Analyzing Visual Inconsistencies.

Unity is a relationship in which all parts belong and work together to achieve consistency. I requested all of their past digital advertising. The purpose of this was to demonstrate how searching for visual inconsistencies could be used as a method for creating uniformity within the design as well as working within size limitations.
Bolder Visual Systems.

When implemented correctly FWSO was able to create designs independently of my services. This was done by creating modular "block architecture" seen below.
Utilizing Contemporary Photography.

Simple photography is utilized to create a minimalist appeal. I was interested in showcasing  their collaboration of classical and contemporary dance. Prior to this, FWSO was using stock footage and blurry candid photos. Often this would cause fatigue among onlookers. I felt this minimal approach helped better establish the type of shows FWSO puts on.
Animations for younger audiences.

FWSO asked me to create an animation that could appeal to younger audiences. The deadline for this project was incredibly short. With that in mind I decided to base the animation flow on Apple ads, which I believe have proven cross-generational appeal. Here I utilized Procreate’s “Dreams” animation software to create painterly like instruments.
